Question-Comment-Hard to Believe
600 sq. in.? If my calculations are even close... Using fins that are 1/10 of an inch thick and 3.0625 wide -- one side of back -- and with 1/10 inch spacing between, about 9 fins will fit along the 1.75 side -- the other side of the back. That is 18 sides with surfaces totaling... 600 sq. in. / 18 sides ==> 33.3 Sq In. Per Surface REQUIRED. 33.3 sq. in. / 3.0625 in. ==> 10.8 in. as the REQUIRED Height of EACH Fin. ----- So, the Heat Sink would have to be 3.0625 X 1.75 X 10.8 INCHES Minimum with rather tight, thin and long fins -- perhaps too long, too tight [packed] & thin to produce the best heat sinking???. ---- I dont think so. Please Verify Requirement. ---- Jim Faulkner / Jim@BizCity.com
